Urban did a great job creating a wonderful atmosphere to have a nice relaxed meal for either entertaining someone or to listen to some nice Jazz. The service was not all that great, missed our server for most of our meal and they missed an item we ordered after repeating it back to us. The food was ok for me. The sticky duck appetizer stole the show for best food eaten at the end of it all, would order again! The pork chop while seasoned well, seemed too well done for me and the green beans were not quite done enough but both were edible. The seafood bowl I am told was really good so kudos there and the sweet potato bread pudding...very nice twist on bread pudding, excellent with the cream drizzle and ice cream compliment.

Urban Restaurant is a gem, and Chef Justin Clark has truly created something special. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by warm, friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The space is modern yet cozy, with thoughtful design touches that invite you to settle in and stay awhile. What stood out most to me were the acoustics. I came to connect with my table and I actually could. The noise level was perfect for conversation, which is rare and so appreciated. And the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was so well seasoned, I caught myself audibly yumming with each bite. You can feel the love and care that goes into every plate. Urban Restaurant is everything I want in a neighborhood spot welcoming, delicious, and designed for connection.

I took my daughter and grandmother here for a birthday dinner, and they both really enjoyed it—especially the desserts! That’s a big win in my book. Thank you for the great food and wonderful hospitality.

This restaurant was on my list of places to visit. When a friend asked to meet her there I was excited. Walking in the door I felt welcomed. I ordered the spinach, mushroom and black truffle omelet. It was very good and they didn't skim on the ingredients. The sourdough toast was amazing. I wanted to order a slice to go. I was there for lunch and will definitely be back to experience what dinner has to offer. Our waiter was top tier, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Excellent music and lightning. Great job! I would like to see more options on the lunch/brunch menu. Like Turkey bacon, turkey sausage or chicken sausage. I did see turkey sausage bagel below on the 'dishes' section, but I didn't see it on the menu.

Food was delicious, great drink and service was excellent! We were able to walk in a little before 5 on a Saturday evening. My mother is vegan and the initial menu we looked at was limited with options, however, the chef accommodated her and allowed her to order off the breakfast menu and she was able to throughly enjoy herself and the delicious meal! When we visit KC again, we will be back!

This was my first time here - it was cool. I had Creme Brûlée French Toast, eggs scrambled with cheese & turkey sausage. The food was good - the french toast could’ve used more of the vanilla cream. The fruit was indeed fresh & the vibes of the place were cool as well. I enjoyed the music and the service.
